Executive Director for AI, Assessment, and Evaluation, Associate Professor
Regina G. Russell PhD MA MEd is executive director for AI, assessment, and evaluation at the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and associate professor in the Health Promotion, Populations and Health Systems faculty community. Dr. Russell is a social scientist and evaluator working at the intersection of organizing and learning in health sciences education. She focuses on the measurement of individual and organizational performance to help drive learning and educational quality improvement. She has three decades of experience in higher and professional education and graduate degrees in higher education, sociology, and public administration. Dr. Russell is part of the VUSN Center for Research Development and Scholarship, the VU Center for Research on Inequality and Health, and the VU Data Science Institute. She leads the Vanderbilt Evaluator's Workshop, the CHAIN Initiative at VUSN (Collaboratively Harnessing AI for Nursing), and the Future FLO generative AI research lab.
