For most travelers, the easiest and most efficient way to get from the airport to downtown is by using a ride-share service. Uber and Lyft are both widely used throughout the city, with short wait times and plentiful drivers. These services operate continuously from BNA. Costs for a one-way ride downtown via ride-share service generally range from $20 to $35, depending on the time of day and level of demand.
Taxis are also readily available at the airport, with a flat rate of approximately $30 for trips to the downtown area.
Several major hotels in the downtown area also offer complimentary or paid shuttle service to and from the airport. Inquire ahead of your trip to see if shuttle transportation is available and how to arrange it.

Once you’ve arrived in downtown Nashville, you’ll find that the area surrounding the Music City Center is highly walkable. Many of the city’s top hotels, restaurants, attractions, and live music venues are within a short walking distance of the convention center. For example, iconic destinations like the Country Music Hall of Fame, Bridgestone Arena, and Lower Broadway are all just a few blocks away.
Walking is the most convenient way to explore the downtown area. Electric scooters and bike-share programs, such as Lime and Bird, are also available and can be a fun way to get around. However, keep in mind that scooter use is restricted on sidewalks and may be limited in some pedestrian-heavy areas.
A car is not necessary for day-to-day transportation for the conference due to the central location of the Music City Center. If you are driving or renting a car, be aware that downtown parking can be expensive and limited. Most hotels offer valet or garage parking for an additional fee, and public garages are available throughout the area.
Tours and selected events will be held on the Vanderbilt University campus.

September is one of the most enjoyable times to visit Music City. The late-summer weather is generally pleasant as signs of early fall begin to appear. This is a popular time for outdoor activities with warm days and cooler mornings and evenings. The average temperatures range between a low of 60°F (15°C) and a high of 85°F (27°C) with mild to moderate humidity.
We recommend packing a light jacket or sweater to remain comfortable in the cool morning and evening temperatures and in heavily air-conditioned indoor venues. A rain jacket or umbrella may come in handy for the occasional brief rain shower.
